Here are some images of paintings done recently, most by the guidence and presence of the Holy Spirit, almost always accompanied by music of a worship nature. I work at home in my studio, and on site at service on Sundays, creating as the spirit leads, to express the wonders of God's love and grace. Sometimes expresively with earthly images of skies or figures or stars or angels, or in a more abstract way. Afterwards there are moments when I look at the paintings and say,"Did I do that?" And, no, I didn't really! It is an absorbtion into heaven's intent to express the Father's heart. A communication.
I used to feel as though I was a submarine, under seas, and at the end of a painting hour, just coming up for breath, emerging slowly as one would from depths where lungs could be compromised. But now, it is more of a descent from glory, and I trail streams of it, into a normal place and time.I breathe shallow, quick breaths and then deep ones, getting back.
Iv'e been painting, designing, illustrating, painting on fabric, writing poetry and prose, for years. I began when I was ten years old, with just a simple feather on a table. I know now that it was symbolic -the feather- and that being airbourne in prayer or painting was my natural habitat. We all have to find our place in the universe, doing what we were created to be and do.
May you enjoy this site and images.
